Another appt.....

Well we had E's allergist appt on Monday and wasn't too impressed with the doc we seen, I don't think he see's many toddlers that's for sure. They tested him for allergies and he has none. They are now checking his immune system after I recommended it since he's has pnuemonia 4 times this past winter and just isn't his normal 100% self yet. The immune test includes getting blood drawn, then getting a pnuemonia shot of some sort right afterwards, and then coming back into the clinic 5 weeks later to get his blood drawn again to check his antibodies in his blood. If only it were that easy. The first blood draw was horrible!!! They tried 4 times, 2 in each arm, for 30 minutes digging around with the needle trying to get a vein but couldn't. He just ended up with 2 suckers, a bunch of stickers and blowed vein in his arm:( Terrible experience with him actually. I bought up CF with the allergist and he didn't think his symptoms added up to that, which I was actually kinda dissagreeing with because he has 3 of the main systems which would be reoccuring chest infections, slow weight gain, and bowel problems.

Sooooo..... Today we had his appt with his GI specialist from the U of M and we went over a couple things. His appt was for his chronic constipation and it's actually been 4 days since his last BM and she could feel a big hard rock in his stomach:( HE was crawling over the clinic floor doing his , pooping tribal dance or more like a crawl to try and get it out but it didn't work. So the doc told ME to give him an enema!!! WOW this could be interesting that's for sure, good thing Tom is coming home tonight so he can help. I might just give him a suppository to see if that does the trick and pray and pray it does!! We also went over his growth, his pnuemonia's and all that and Dr. Goldman ordered a thyroid test and also a sweat test to check for CF. I didn't even need to mention it which was nice because I didn't want to sound like a nut, but for some reason I just can't get it outta my head and I need the test done to reassure me that he DOES NOT have CF.

HE weighed in at 24lbs and was 32 1/2 inches long, he's still on the very edge of the growth chart and petite. It's crazy seeing other kids not even 2 yet that are towering over him in height. On Monday they also did xrays of his sinus's and his adenoids and the results came back with something going on in his sinus in his right cheek but they are just going to let it run it's course instead of prescribing more antibiotics and I guess his adenoids are huge and taking up 75% of his airway, so we'll be making an appt with the ENT department too to see if they want them removed or watched. I think by the time E is 5 we might have gone through or spoken with ever department out there in the medical field!! This is gonna make for a great medical bill when all is said and done, too bad we have sucky insurance like everone else out there:(

So that's that for the medical side of things:)

Tom's been gone since Sunday turkey hunting and he's on his way home now with NO turkey:( oh well probably wouldn't have eaten the dang thing anyways. Gavin starts baseball in a couple weeks and I'm coaching with the help of my dad and my father in law so that's gonna be fun and hopefully Gavin listens to me as a coach and not a mom!! Em is being Em, fiesty as ever, but it's helped that it's been nice out so she can run all she wants and stay outta my hair:) All the kids have there first tans of the season too and everyone that's seen Ian in the past week thinks he's been on vacation somewhere, but nope just a little trip to the backyard, I'm wondering if his blonde hair will come back this summer or not.....

Welp I think that's about it, now time for some pics:)

No end in site....

Well you guessed it E is sick AGAIN!!! So this makes it his what, 4th pnuemonia this winter?? Ah I tell ya it's really getting old. So here's how it all came down.

He ended his antibiotics round Sunday almost 2 weeks ago. The doc scheduled a recheck for the pnuemonia he had for 2 weeks after his meds were outta his system which she said would stay in for 10 days after his last dose. So 2 days after starting his meds he sounded WAYYYY better and wasn't coughing or wheezing at all and seemed to be back to "good" health. That lasted up until 7 days after his meds were done, that Friday his coughing seemed to be coming back and by Sunday it was in full force with coughing attacks and all, but no puke THANK GOD!! So Sunday night was a long night for me and Tom. E was up most of the night coughin away and I almost scooped him up 3 or 4 times ready to bring him to the ER because I was just so sick of it and he was miserble and whining inbetween coughing attacks yet still trying to sleep. We eneded bringing him into our bed for the night since it seemed like he did better with someone near him or patting his butt or back after each attack. So there I was laying in bed with 3 other bodies in bed, including Scooby, and as soon as E would stop coughing Tom would fall asleep and start snoring and just as I would nod off E would start coughing AGAIN and cycle would start all over again!! It was ONE LONG NIGHT!!!

So Monday I called and made an appt even though his check up was the next day. They got him in pretty early in the morning. He still hasn't run a fever with any of his sickness's, or maybe just a low grade that I never took his temp for. The doc comes in and I said "we're baaack" and he's sick AGAIN!!! So she listens to him and he's tighter this round than last, in his lungs. No X-ray needed as she can tell he still has it. She thinks it never went away but I'm thinking it did since he was non-phlegmy, wheezing or coughy for almost a week. So new meds were given (heck I think he's been on all penicillin meds since this all began now) this time augmentin, the stuff that gave him flood-butt last year, and also prednisone along with his 2 inhalers meds. So now it's Friday..... He still sounds like crap, still wheezy still coughing, although not as much, and still just plain tired and laying down or wants to be cuddled more than usual. The doc gave us an option of him seeing a pulmonologist or allergist, we picked the pulm doc first but then reconsidered since the allergist was here in town vs traveling to the cities. So he goes in on the 20th for a work-up that will last 2 to 3 hours. When we were at his doc appt I brought up that maybe he has a low immune system and she said they would check that the allergist. Or maybe he got fungus from his sippy cups he had the beginning of winter, that's a whole nother story:-) Who knows but I guess we'll get some answers in a couple weeks at his allergist appt, I HOPE!!! And so does this little boy so he feels better!!!

Anywho in other news.....

Scooby's puppies should be here in less than 2 weeks!!! Crazy I can't believe he's gonna be a dad!!! Gavin is all done with hockey so it's on to baseball, and this year I'll be his baseball coach with my dad and my father-in-laws help so I'm excited about that. Heck I played fastpitch softball for almost 15 years baseball can't be that far off can it?? :-) Em is becoming a compulsive liar, and it's driving me NUTS!! I'm waiting for the sweet sweet Emma to come back to me but I just don't know if it's gonna happen:(

Well that's all for now, time to hide some eggs for the Easter Egg hunt this afternoon here, all the kids are raring to go:-)

Thanks for checking in!!

Happy Easter

Yay!!!!!!!!!!

What do you get when you take this....

(Lexi)

and

this handsome dog.....

(Scooby)

You get PUPPIES!!!!!

Yes Scoob's girlfriend, Lexi, is gonna having puppies!!! She is due anytime after
April 22nd and I don't know who's more excited Lexi, Scooby or ME!!! I can't wait to see if any come out looking like Scooby. Seriously I've never known a dog, and trust me we've been through MANY, that is such a good dog like Scooby. He's the most well-mannered, laziest, playable boxer I've ever known. We have also had 2 female boxers to potentially breed with Scooby but they have been wayyyy to hyper and just not the right mix with Scooby and when we met Lexi last summer we knew they would be a perfect match!! So stay tuned for puppy pictures in a couple weeks:)

We've had a busy weekend... Gav had his last hockey hurrah on Sunday with a practice on Sat also. He's a little upset that hockey season is over, I told him don't worry baseball season is right around the corner:) Sat afternoon we also went to Rochester to take some pics of Tom's coworkers little girl Cora.

So there was a lot of running around and really no time to relax, the weekends just aren't long enough these days!!

Well that's about all for now. Please keep baby Stellan in your prayers he's been getting worse and they are trying to decide on the next course of treatment for the heart issues he's having!!

ALOT to talk about!!

Well first off there is a little boy in need of prayers!! His name is Stellan and he's just a plain miracle already but he's in need of another one. Go visit his site and say some prayers for this little boy www.mycharmingkids.net, the site is also on the right of my page.

Now for some news on the kiddos....

E is no longer a baby:( His baby bed was taken down and brought to the dump this past weekend, in pieces too since it didn't want to cooperate during the process!! It was a pain to take down, it lasted 7 years and had 3 kids use it so I didn't think it was that bad:) He now shares a room with his big bro Gav on bunk beds and things have actually been going really well, better than I thought it was going to be. The one thing that stinks though is that yesterday morning he was up at 6am and this morning he was up at 4:30!! But I think he was woke up this morning by......his brother Gavin that must have crawled into his bed sometime during the night. He's a very restless sleeper and I'm sure he was digging his feet into E's and that woke him up. I gave him a refill of water and closed the door and went back to bed. Gavin has always woken in the middle of the night and has come into our room since I can remember... It got to the point where I didn't even wake up anymore with him coming into our bed so he was never brought back into his bedroom in the middle of the night. But..... the only rule for him in order to change rooms and share with E was he HAD to stay in his room all night and no coming into our room. And I'm happy to report he no longer sleeps in our bed 1/2 the night, but instead his little brother:-) We'll be having a talk about that later today after school:)

We also painted there room and are making it ready for some antique hockey stuff. We were going to do a MN Wild hockey theme but the quilts I paid a fortune for didn't match all the wild gear we got so we are going to go antiquing for some old stuff for there room. Here's there room so far. Too bad I didn't have pics from before, it's amazing what can happen in 7 years to a bedroom and border paper:-)

We also had Gav's 7th Birthday party with the fam on Sat night. We had a blast and even broke out the firepit for the first offical fire of 2009. The was a beautiful day and night actually, and the party went off without a hitch, great food...great family and GREAT FUN!!! He got way too much stuff yet again I don't know what were are going to do when Christmas comes around again!! Here's some pics from the party...

So I'm trying to get this photo "side" business going and I have a couple shoots coming up in the next couple weeks I'm so excited!! I got all my photo gear I think I'll need for a while. We are going to visit some of my husbands co-workers this weekend to shoot there 8 week old daughter and then an old friend from school is due any day and I'll be taking pics of there baby too!! I LOVE babies!!! oh yeah, I was testing out my backdrops with E's first pair of cowboy boots!!! Well we actually call them horsie boots because he prefers horsies over cows but they are so cute!! And guess how old they are......

Almost 50 years old!!!! These are his grandpa's first pair of cowboy boots that he obviously LOVES because there are NO heels on the boots!!! E loves to wear them but I think they may need to be oiled....... :-)

Well off to make lunch. Thanks for checking in and don't forget to say a prayer for Stellan!!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

Well we have had another heck of a week here!! Over the weekend E's nose starting flowing again got another cough and it just wouldn't let up. By Tuesday he was coughin and coughin with end in sight:( We had a trip planned to the cities with me, my mother in law and the kiddos to stay at a hotel and do the MOA thing and then to this indoor park our hotel was connected too and then we were planning on stopping by the NICU to see our "old" family but things didn't turn out that way.

We left for the cities and he actually seemed ok, kinda crabby but nothing outta the ordinary with little nap and it being a long day. We hit up MOA for there twlight rides since it's way cheaper than going during the day. The kids had a BLAST and we got on almost every ride they would ride. Gav and Em are still too chicken to do any big roller coasters but I got them on a couple and they were wore out by the time we were done, 2 hours was definately enough for me anyways and E was getting pretty groggy:) So back to the hotel we went got everyone in there pj's and we just hung out until E wanted his bed to go to sleep. oh yeah I went on priceline and got our hotel for $50!!! I named the price so it's a stab in the dark on what hotel your going to get but we actually got one heck of a deal!! We stayed at the Residence Inn which are all suite rooms, and that's what I was checking on before doing the priceline but all the prices were over $170 so anyways it worked out great!! Plus who gets to stay in a hotel for $50 that has hot supper and hot breakfast and an over 60 foot high indoor jungle gym you can see from the lobby???

So after getting E laid down his coughing started again after a brief break while we were at the mall, and he just couldn't stop. He coughed all night and I mean ALL NIGHT!!! My mother in law and I probably got maybe 2 hours of sleep in 15 min intervals. I tried everything I could think of to make it stop but I used up all my options medicine wise or he would have OD'd, tried the hot shower steam in the bathroom but the poor kid just wanted to lay in his crib and cough:( He ended up getting sick a couple times but I knew when it was coming because he would start crying and I would run him to the sink. I almost brought him to the ER but figured he would stop eventually and then morning came...

Let me clarify his coughing. It's more of a hacking, no barking, non-productive, almost like a post-nasal annoying cough all though deep down you can hear some rattling. The poor kids stomach muscles have gotta hurt that's all I have to say after having a night like Tuesdays!!

So after getting the kids up and fed we decided against swimming and headed to the jungle gym. E was actually doing pretty good for getting no sleep and was up playing and having a blast. I decided to call and see if his doc was at the clinic. She was there but only until 1pm and it was already almost 10. So I explained the situation to the receptionist and she got us in at 12:40 to be seen. So we packed the kids up and headed home. No visiting out NICU family and no other stops just HOME!!!

On the way home he starts coughin again and tried his hardest to sleep. Nothing sucks more than seeing your "baby", he'll always be my baby even if he's 2:), try his hardest to sleep then start coughing and coughing and whimper "mommy" and then fall back asleep just for it to start all over again:( I kept telling him "no pukin in the car, no pukin in the car" since he just ate Doritos before falling asleep. I sped back to town, we dropped Em off at Preschool since her and her older brother would have killed each other if they would have been together for any longer from lack of sleep they got and we went straight to the doc.

We get to the doc gave her the low down and tell her SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT AND I NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON!!!! The poor kid has had a cold for months!!! and this coughing until you puke thing has been getting closer and closer together. So we got chest x-rays done and the doc went down to radiology to look at them with the radiologist and it came back with multiple spots of pnuemonia AGAIN!!! This is his 2nd time having it in 2 months. We never were told to go in for a recheck back in Dec so I'm hoping it never cleared and that's what been making him cough so much. I asked the doc "well don't you normally get a fever with pneumonia" and she said well obviously not him!!! So here the poor thing has probably had this for months and I did nothing because of NO fever, I feel so bad:( So we get him meds, stronger ones, and we got back in 2-3 weeks for a recheck. If it's not cleared up then my guess we'll be seeing another specialist to see why he isn't getting better. So lets look at his med checklist.... lactrolose and mirolax for constipation, albutorol and flovent inhalers for athsma? wheezing?, and zithromax for pnuemonia. It's like I have a whole pharmacy in my house!!

Things were WAY better this afternoon after he got up from his nap. I actually haven't heard him cough at all up until tonight when he was running after me, playing. I'm hoping for another good nights sleep. I gave him Benadryl last night after the doc to give it a try since she couldn't prescribe anything for him for his cough since he's only 2, and it worked like a charm!!

So there you have it!! What a nice way to spend the day off, good thing I had it off though!! Hopefully things are on the up swing and spring is on it's way so this crap can be gone for GOOD!!! thanks for checking in, sorry for spelling errors trying to do this fast so I can eat and watch some tv and have some ME time:) I'll keep you updated if anything changes.

WHOA!!! IT's been a while!!!

Wow has it really been that long since my last post?? Ah yep it has:-) sorry...who ever is out there that reads my blog:-)

Things have been kinda hectic around here lately. This dang MN weather can really wear a person out especially when children are involved and have been cooped up for months on end!!! We have had 40 even 50 degree days and then all the sudden we are in the middle of another snow storm and then the deep freeze begins!! I'm getting sick of it and want spring here.....NOW!!!!

Well lets see what's happen since the last update... E got another cold, well probably the same one he had. Ended up coughing and throwing up again all over me and on another white sweatshirt of mine, from now on it will be my hubby's sweatshirts that I will be wearing:-) E's got this thing where, I thought he was waking from coughing, but then I thought well maybe it could be reflux because he doesn't sound terribly wheezy when we get him outta his crib in the middle of an attack. But then this week on Monday he woke up crying so I brought him into the bathroom and wrapped a towel under his chin and held him while I sat in there waiting, just waiting for him to get sick. It was weird because he would whine for a little bit and then all the sudden just start screaming like he was in pain somewhere, I think his belly is the culprit. Anywho he never did get sick and suddenly stopped crying and was fine after about 20 minutes... It actually kinda worried me and I waited and waited thinking he was going to do it again but he slept all night and hasn't done it since, knock on wood.......

This weekend is my oldest son's birthday party with his friends. We are going ice skating, if it was Gav's choice it would be open hockey but we don't have enough gear for all his friends so open skating will have to do. So since we are going skating and E's been walking around in Gav's hockey skates we thought we would try to find him some too. There isn't any place around here that carriers his tini tiny six 6 hockey skates so we ordered them from where else....ND, who would have thunk it:-) Anyways they came in today and E was all excited and didn't want to take them off for a long time, but then I think his feet started to hurt. IT's a little different wearing his big bros skates that aren't tied than wearing ones that actually fit and are tighter than tight. WE'll see how he skates on sat, I have a feeling he's going to amaze us all. If you actually see him in person he looks like he's the size of a 1 year old, he's just a peanut but the mind of a 3 year old:) I'll record it and maybe put it on here for everyone to see:-)

I took some pics of my nephew D this week for his 1 year pics and I think i'm starting to get the hang of photography!!! I ordered some more equipment today and I think I'm set....I hope. Going and taking some baby pics next weekend and waiting on the arrival of a new one in a couple weeks. I'm so excited and I hope they turn out!!

Well the kids ar laid down and now it's time for me to chillax and catch up on my shows!! thanks for checking in!!

Here we go again...

Well E woke up with a fever this morning:( I knew I was in for it when he was crying in his room for me instead of yelling "Mommy....Mommy...MOM!!!!" This is his first fever in a couple months so that's a good thing, all the sickness's he's had recently have been non-fever ones, so I guess it's kinda weird and hopefully he wakes tomorrow yelling my name vs crying, I HATE crying, whining babies!!

We had a pretty mellow weekend, nothing too exciting. Me and my mother in law went thrift shopping and found NOTHING:( Brought the kiddos to the mall, hoping to get my camera looked at but found out the place in the mall doesn't exsist anymore, that shows you how much we are actually there, normally the kids plus the mall don't mesh well together. Oh yeah we got out taxes done so that was nice to get it outta the way.

Sorry this is a pretty dull post, I guess life is pretty boring for once:) That's a good thing right??? :)

Puppies?????

Well after searching and searching for the perfect girlfriend for Scooby we have found a match!! She came and spent the night Sunday night and the whole day yesterday and her and Scoob had some quality time together;-) She's coming back tomorrow morning to spend the day with Scoob and hopefully in 9 weeks Scooby will be a daddy!! Both Lexi, Scoob's girlfriend, and Scooby have the same temperment and are just the easiest going dogs I have ever seen so hopefully they pass those traits to there puppies. I can't wait, I mean come on who wouldn't want a dog like this...

Or cute kids:) Sorry the baby factor is closed so there will be NO more of those you'll have to settle for the puppies:) Well this was our first time breeding Scooby and we didn't even know if he new what to do or if he'd even be interested in her like "that". But he was and it was quite and interesting day to say the least:) WOW!!

So the kiddos went and spent the night with Tom's parents on Sat night, yes that would be our 3rd Sat night in a row of NO children, I can't believe it myself but I think that has come to an end. We've had alot of committments the last couple of weeks and now we have NOTHING planned, it's kinda crazy. Oh yeah I guess we get our taxes done on Sat afternoon, that is if I get my butt in gear and start getting stuff organized, but that's it NOTHING else is planned. It will be a nice weekend of chillaxing, maybe I'll get some ambition and paint one of the kids rooms....we'll see:)

Yesterday I took E in for his constant wheezing and him not getting over this darn cold he's got. He weighed in at a whopping 25lbs!!! That's with layers of clothes on but I'll take it, hr normally weighs about 23 without anything on but I can feel he's gaining weight when I pick him up. Anyways the doc asked about what our winter was like last winter and he was actually pretty healthy, got sick once I think and we neb'd him for 2 weeks and it was gone and never came back. But this winter it's like neverending!! The poor kid has been neb'd at least once a day since the middle of Dec. It's not fun to neb him because he's got 2 breathing treatments that last a good 10 minutes to finish both and the kid just can't sit still for that long. So she prescribed 2 inhalers instead and I'm happy to report he LOVES taking them!!! So now instead of sitting and holding a screaming child for 10 minutes it only take less than 2 minutes!! Anyways he's on albuterol 2 puffs every 4 hours or 2 hours as needed and then flovent 2 puffs twice daily. Once he's over his sickness we can stop the albuterol and just give him 1 puff of flovent twice a day for 6 weeks to see if it stops the wheezing all together, which I'm hoping it does. It seems to flare the most at bedtime and last night the meds didn't seem to help too much but I gave him some water after coughing for a good hour and he was good to go and didn't hear anymore come out of him.

I also talked to his doc about his gut issues and we have an appt scheduled with the GI doc from the cities on April 23rd, yeah a ways away but she upped his other meds to help with his constipation issue so hopefully that helps until then. I just hope they figure out whats wrong with him and why he has so much trouble in the #2 department.

Well naptime is over so I better wake the kiddos so this kiddo sleeps tonight:)

Thanks for checking in:)

Is it Friday yet???

Ugh this winter has seemed so long it's driving me nuts!! Just when you think all the snow is melting away, you get a smack in the face with the possiblity of more snow. I can't wait for spring/summer, longer days, warm temps, open windows, playing outside, sending the kids outside instead of them being trapped in the house, no more video games, supper on the deck, thunder storms, gosh I could go on and on!! I just miss summer and want it to come NOW!!!

Over the weekend I went and took some pics of our friends 4 week old baby boy named Landen. He was such a good baby, but the little stinker would NOT sleep!! He was awake the whole time and we were there for a good couple hours taking pics. My camera has been ticking me off with not having the sharpest pics for some reason and I think I might have found the problem. So the pics turned out alright but there is always room for improvement:) Our kids went to my parents house while we went to take pics and then to the Wild game. They had fun and were spoiled like always. The Wild game was fun the 1st period and then after that it went downhill, just like the score. I ate a cheeseburger and fries that did not sit well at all, so I'll put that on my list of "What NOT to eat at a hockey game". It was a nice Valentines Day though with no kids just me and my hubby!

Here are some pics from the photo shoot, let me know what you think.... I'm still trying to figure out my editing software but I'm getting there slowly but sureley:)

We have more tickets to the hockey game this Sat night too, but Tom says he's bringing Gav but he'll have to arm wrestle me for the tickets:) j/k it's gonna be a good game though so I probably let Gav go for some boy bonding together.

E's pretty crabby today and hasn't pooped in 4 days again so he's pretty miserable:( I've been giving him his mirolax like clock work. (Sorry if this is too much info) But it's like he gets constipated every 5 days, gets it out and then the mirolax in him gives him the poops (4 or 5 dirty diapers) for 4 days and then back to square one where he won't poop for another 3 or 4 days, it's a continuous cycle. Another bad thing is that all the sudden he likes milk.... he's always always been a water drinker and not really liked milk and now he LOVES it and it sucks because I can only give him so much with the constipation issue!! So then he cries and whines until it wears him out. I think another doc appt maybe in the future...

I got a good report from Gav's teacher from school. He's still lagging behind but not as bad anymore and is catching up!! He said that he's the ideal student and does what he's told and knows what he's not supposed to do. That makes me so happy and let's hope it lasts another 11 years! IT's weird though because he can be sooo good in school and then come home and he just lets it all out and can be the biggest booger ever! But they say... they hold it in all day they gotta let it out at some point, lucky me!!

Em's doing good. She's had a snotty nose since Nov so she might be seeing a doc soon too. We'll see what she's like when winter is over but the poor girls face is all red under her nose from wiping it all the time. Her and Gav have both been going to bed awesome lately so E might be in his crib a little longer, don't want to jinx anything, bedtime is MY time and I don't want to be laying with kiddos until they fall asleep or I might just pass out with them:)

Welp naptime is almost over I better get going. thanks for checking in:)

Happy Friday the 13th!!

Well today has gone good but even better that it's count down until bedtime, and I'll get some free time to myself tonight when Tom gets home. I did a little photo shoot with E and D today. I'm going and taking pictures of my friends 4 week old tomorrow so I thought I would practice with Dora, E and D. My computer is being dumb and says that I don't have enough memory on it so I had to do some deleting and organizing, next will be burning pics onto CD's but I hate doing it so I'll wait. Here's some pics from today:)

Here is baby Dora isn't she adorable!!! If only she was a real baby:)

Here is E in a couple of shots, for some reason my camera just isn't focusing well.... I have no idea why.

Since E's hair was long for a long time we never knew how much his ears have grew!! Man this kid has some ears on him though WOW:)

This is my nephew Dieter, he hated it at first and was screaming and snot was running everywhere but after I put him on top of the kitchen table he was in heaven, who knew!!

So tomorrow Tom and I are going to another Wild game, hopefully they win, it's better going to a game where they score or it becomes pretty boring. The kiddos are going to my parents house so it will be nice to have a Valentine's Day with no kiddos, I don't think we've ever had NO kids before.

Well time to make some supper and give baths. Have a good weekend and Happy Valentines Day.

Whoofda!!!

What's that smell???? Well it's Lysol of course and my throat is burning after spraying almost the whole entire can on all the toys yet again for the....... gosh can't even remember how long I've been disinfecting for, feels like years though!! The kids are doing great, E's finally getting over his cold I think and coughin junk up which is good, right? At least he's not wheezing as much anymore. Em's been good and her and her older brother actually had a "moment" today where they said "please" and "thank you"!!!! I still can't believe it myself but when it was heard I almost starting crying with excitement and said "You guys do love each other!!!"

Well I'm sittin here listening to Jack Johnson, doesn't this music just put you in a happy mood?? I could listen to him over and over and some people may think I'm obsessed but really I'm not it's just the most chilaxin music EVER!! :) The kiddos are layed down, after prying Gav away from the tv since the MN Wild is on.

So last night I borrowed a carpet shampooer from and friend get home and start on E's room right away and get most of it cleaned, well what I thought, and come to find out it's not sucking up any water!!! So I check the cleaner out and the only thing that is sucking is the hand nossle thingy so here I'm on my hands and knees trying to get the as much water/dirty nasty smelly vomit water off the floor. It didn't work so well.....Tom walked in there this morning and almost starting yacking from the smell. Soooo tonight I went and purchased are very first carpet shampooer!!! Yeah for me, I know, it's about time right. I got 3 kids and been through so many dogs I should have gotten one years ago but tonight was the night:) So tomorrow morning the plan of attack is E's bedroom and then maybe cleaning the couches, we'll see.

Tom's at the Wild game tonight so it's just me and Scoob hanging out, so I guess I'll sign out and chilax on the couch and catch up on my shows. Talk to ya'll tomorrow:)

Could it get any worse????

Well I woke up pretty crabby this morning, for those who know me, KNOW I'm such a morning person wink, wink:) Anyways so the kids weren't getting along, E was whiney, Em was being her normal self which always hads fuel to any fire and D, my nephew that I watch, was a cling-on, it was just a crappy morning. So finally after hounding the kids for over an hour to "keep" picking up there toys things seemed to be looking up, right......WRONG!!! It just seemed to go all downhill:(

I went upstairs to make lunch and went to get D up from his morning and nap and opened E's door and it hits me......... the smell of VOMIT!!!! Seriously do I have something wrong with my house? How much sanitizing can a woman do anyways? I have deep cleaned this house 3 times now hoping and praying that no one else gets this nasty bug and BAM it hits someone else!! This is the 3rd week someone has had it, I repeat the 3RD WEEK!!! I understand if everyone gets it within a week or so but 3!!! Come on!!! I should probably check the preschool and see if any one else has gotten it... My house is tanted I think.

So..... I get D bathed and out the door, he goes home and I get lunch served and cleaned up and everyone is acting and playing nicely and getting along. I lay E down for his nap in his "Big Boy Bed", for the first time, since D puked all over E's crib and on the floor, which by the way just REAKS!!!!! And I sit upstairs while Em and a daycare friend are playing and watching cartoons in the basement. E got up outta bed about 5 times and then I didn't hear anymore other than some coughing and then some crying coming from the basement. So I head downstairs, thinking E was asleep since I hadn't heard anymore, and I get to the basement to find........... more VOMIT!!!!!! again but from a 5 year old that didn't know where to do it.......WHAT?!?!? Seriously!!!!! The daycare friend didn't say a peep about a upset tummy or not feeling well and just pukes 3 times all over my carpeted floor!!! Sorry just a little upset I guess, all my kids seem to make it to the toilet or at least know to tell me or someone they have a tummy ache. So I just sent him home and cleaned up the mess again, as the daycare kiddos mom thinks it's funny and cute that they tried to make to the bathroom! So then I go and check on E since I hadn't heard anything from him, well he locked the door so I unlock it and peak in and he's nowhere in eye site, so I look in the closet and there he's just playing away. Now he's sleeping I think.... So now my house smells like VOMIT and if we get the flu again I'm going to close down shop and hire a cleaner!!!

I could just scream, seriously, I'm so sick of the flu it ain't even funny. I don't really think I could disinfect anymore than I have or do, and I'm not sure who the "carrier" is anymore. All the kids wash there hands before and after lunch and snack, I have a feeling it's a freak airborne germ or something!!

Anywho that's how my day has gone. Just another pukey Tuesday I guess!! I'll be cleaning carpets and sanitizing toys again all night:( COME ON SPRING!!!!!

"NOT ME! MONDAY!"

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by http://www.mycharmingkids.net You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

This is my first "Not Me! Monday!! so beware, I consider this your warning:)

The past week 3 out 5 of our family members DID NOT have the pukey, poopy flu and everyone that came to our house has not left with some symptoms of the nasty bug, sorry guys!! So on Wednesday I DID NOT go back to bed at 9:30am and sleep until 3pm, while Em was up and about destroying the house and my mother-in-law watching E. I also DID NOT let Em be on a Goldfish/Freeze pop diet while she had the flu, she had homemade soup and bread from which I cooked while I was sick:) The goldfish and freeze pops must have been a good combo though because everything seemed to stay down!!

My laundry is NOT piling up in the laudry room and I might, just might get to it today at some point, maybe!

On Friday since Gavin was feeling a little left out by not getting the flu, I DID NOT pick him up from school after lunch so he could have a "sick day" (wink, wink) also even though he wasn't sick, NOPE NOT ME!!

And now that the kids seem to be feeling better, and acting more like themselves that could drive any sane parent nuts sometimes, I didn't let Gavin play WAY too many video games over the weekend just to give me some "ME" time.

Also our toilet WAS NOT plugged all last week that with everytime we used the bathroom, remember we had the flu..., we had to plunge to get it to go down, but with my hubby gone and me feeling like crap, I just couldn't get the energy to fix it myself. So yesterday we DID NOT purchase a "toilet snake" and finally fixed out toilet and that we DID NOT find a missing toothbrush in it!! Em wanted me to wash it off so she could use it again, too bad that answer was NO!!!

Maybe I should get going on that laundry now.........well maybe not:)

Have fun boys!!!

Well the boys just left for the hockey game, which means it's me and Em to fend for ourselves around here. Tom took "my" car, and I simply call it that because I'm the main driver not because it's really mine, mine it's ours, anyways so that means me and Em have no transportation to go anywhere and that really stinks when 1/2 the house is gone and we could go out and about. Oh well I guess we'll just chill inside for the night and maybe rent a movie, gotta love OnDemand and maybe a pizza or something we'll have to wait and see.

E pretty much coughed all night and I told Tom that he was sick but insisted on having a boys night and E was coming no matter what, unless he was puking and I'm thinking he's got that all outta his system:) Gavin though went to bed last night with a tummy ache but woke up fine, I think he thought if he said it he could stay home from school but I told him right off the bat that if he's sick, NO GAME! So I think that took care of that, I hope... So with E's sickness this time around he's really HATING the neb, I mean HATING it!! I wonder if there is any traquilizers that I could give him so he would take them like a good boy, ok maybe not, but it would help just a little:) It will be interesting tonight when they get home, after midnight that is if the game isn't in overtime, and Tom having to neb him before he lays him down..... I'll be sleeping and pretending not to hear or feel my husband tapping me on my shoulder to help:) It was my hubby's idea about the "boys night" and it ain't over until morning, right:)

We had a pretty uneventful day here today. Em's back to her bratty self and I really don't see how kids want to play with her sometimes! She can be just down right bratty and I have no idea where she gets it from. But as I'm typing this right now, she's upstairs coloring and singing Jesus songs from school or made up, and it's so cute and funny to hear if only I could get it on audio!! she just might be the next American Idol!! Well I wouldn't go that far but she does have a sweet side to her.

Well I think that's it, D doesn't want to sleep so I guess I should get him outta E's crib, even though it does sound like he's having fun:) oh yeah and E's haircut from last night, looks horrible!! Well some people might not think so but I do:( Maybe in a couple weeks it won't look so bad. Sorry you'll have to wait for pictures until he's in a decent photo op mood though, he was pretty cranky this morning and basically ran from the camera just like his nose ran all day long, Tom will have fun with that tonight!!

Until tomorrow.....

We are on the upswing!!!! Good Bye Flu!!

At least I hope:) I woke up a new woman this morning, feeling very refreshed and ready for the day!! I made myself a pot of coffee and me and Em sat and watched some Baby Story until E came home from grandma's house. It's been a very relaxing morning so far, lots of laundry to do but it's nice that everything else is clean, for the time being, and that's all I have to do all day. The kids got there baths so the smell oh so good, nothing is better than kids smellin like bab shampoo, is there?? :)

So now all we need to do is hope and pray that Gavin doesn't get this nasty bug and the boys get a boys night:) It sounds like E is getting another cold though:( But I can handle a cold, RSV and freakin pneumonia ANTHING other than the FLU!!!!

So tonight I think is haircut night!! E has a major case of "BAD HAIR", his hair is so flat and straight that he just can't do the "hockey hair" that his daddy wants:( so after this picture you will actually be able to see his cute little ears, his beautiful eyes better and he might actually be a little bit cuter, if that's possible:) The sad thing....... all his summer highlights will be gone:( oh well summer is around the corner, right??

So since me and Em are going to be all alone tomorrow night while the boys are at the hockey game we are trying to figure out what we are going to do.... any ideas? We are thinking maybe a movie or getting a pedi or something but we just can't decide...... Too bad she's not a shopper then I could bring her with and do some shopping early, but that will probably have to wait until Sunday.

Well I suppose it's time to fold some more laundry. Only 6 more loads to go!!! well maybe not that many but it sure feels like it when you need to fold it all YOURSELF!!

I hate the FLU!!!!

Well the flu has hit me:( I sent Em to her grandma's this morning, since she was sick and I needed to do daycare, and as soon as she left it hit me!! So grandma came back dropped off Em and picked up E instead and me and Em chilled together. She's doing alot better, I went back to bed at 9:30 and slept until 3pm!!! It felt good but I woke up with a fever and the biggest headache ever! But after some Aleve and more relaxing on the couch I'm feeling better. When I got up from my napt the house was a MESS!!! It's amazing what a 5 year old can do, I remember her coming into the room a couple times asked if she could have a freezy and I kept telling her yes. So after picking up it seems that she had goldfish and freezy's for lunch:)

So about an hour ago me and Em got some hardcore cleaning done, lysoling EVERYTHING and wiping ever toy, door handle, light switch EVERYTHING off. Now we are just going to chill and watch some tv and hit the sack again. E and Gav went to grandma's for the night so they don't get it!! Tom and Gav are going to the Wild hockey game on Friday night, they might bring E along too so it's going to give me and Em a "girls night" :)

But I think things are on the upswing, I'll just have to wait and see how food sits in my belly, I haven't eaten anything yet. All liquids are staying down though so that's a good sign. So yep the flu is going around don't forget to wash your hands!!!

Thanks for checking in...

Oh yeah and where is my hubby to take care of me????? Out of town for work!!! figures:)

Welcome!!!

What not a better day to start a blog than today, right? I thought since everyone does updates on family through the internet I would hop on the bandwagon and start my own blog!!

Well "The Flu" is back and in full force again, this time with Em. She woke up at 1am complaining of her tummy hurting and I asked if she felt like she was going to get sick and she shook her head "no, no" almost as if she didn't want to hear that word. So we go back into her bedroom and she climbs into bed and I'm making Gavin's so I can sleep in it and she goes into the bathroom, I thought she was grabbing some kleenex since she has a cold too but no, she was getting sick poor baby. At least she know where to go to do it unlike E from last week!! But after she was done she climbs back into her bed and sleeps for another 6 hours. Last Tuesday it was E that was sick and now exactly 1 week later it's Em. Spring can't come soon enough, and this weather we are having is just teasing EVERYONE!!! Thank you mother nature. So for lunch today we are having a very very bland diet with toast, quesedilla's and pears. Well Em only had toast and lets hope it stays down. I vowed to myself last Tuesday when E was sick that they would not be having anymore red sauces of any kind until the windows can be open and flu season is OVER!!!

Well Gav had a tantrum this morning because he didn't get to stay home from school, this seems to only happen when someone is sick. I think, he thinks, that we all have fun when we are home with someone sick. I told him "heck if I could go to school and not be around sick people I would do it in a minute!!" he didn't seem to care too much for that and said, he hopes to be the next one sick...Mind you he's never had the flu....knock on wood!!!! So Em seems to be doing better, she got sick about an hour ago and that was it. No fever, just pale as a ghost but I think her color is coming back and looks like she's run down. I hope she starts to feel better though!

E had "Net" (a.k.a Lynette) come over this morning for his weekly PT. He LOVES that lady and he asks every Monday "Net coming today" and I tell him "nope not today, tomorrow". So this morning when he woke up he asked if she was coming and I told him "Yep" and he said "na ah, morrow" but then I reassumed him it was today he was hollerin and dancin:) He's doing great and can match colors, mimic play, says what ever she wants him to say so I think and is basically like any other almost 27 month old just in a 12 months old body:) Last week was a terrible week for him though:( E has chronic constipation (sorry if this is tmi) and I normally give him a suppository weekly to clean him out, but lately he's been LOVIN milk for some reason and his daddy was giving him wayyy too much cheese, so he was severely constipated! So on Monday night last week I gave him a suppository with no result and he woke up Tuesday morning throwing up all over Tom as he was getting him out of his crib. So he got sick about 4 times within a couple hours on Tuesday morning and I had a feeling it was because he was so clogged up. I called the nurse line and was told to bring him in to the ER but I said I would give him another suppository to see if that would help him 1 last time. Well after 15 minutes of trying to poop he finally relieved himself and was pure sweat in the end:( But I'm happy to say that after the plug was out and Mirolax given to him everyday he's poopin like a mad man and HE and I couldn't be happier. I haven't seen him this happy in a long time, so I guess the daily regiment of Mirolax will begin again!

Well I guess I better make some lunch, or toast for Em since she still hasn't eaten anything today. Hopefully E will take a nap and me and Em can get some rest too!!!

Thanks for checkin in

Rachel
